Our goal of living in unity and love is not for ourselves, but for the sake of the world. We want to actively share the good news of God’s in-breaking kingdom. We hope to live in a way that attracts people to Jesus and invites them to become part of his body. We also hope to share with the larger church the joy and goodness that we’ve encountered in our experience of living church as a tightly-knit community. We commit ourselves to:

• getting to know our immediate neighbors and to inviting them to participate in our life together

• serving our immediate neighborhood

• offering seminars on church community

• offering a year-long apprenticeship in church community

• building significant relationships with other churches

• hospitality

• Shalom Mission Communities (a group of church communities that provides resources and accountability for one another)

• stability (long term commitment to being here for people)
